Our Mission

At A Tiger Cub, our mission is to rebuild connection within immigrant communities across families, generations, and shared cultural experiences.

We believe connection is not something that simply exists. It is built intentionally, over time, through small, meaningful moments. Yet many young people lose these structures after major life transitions like college, or never fully have them to begin with. We believe they should not only find connection again, but play a central role in building it.

Through youth-led teams, storytelling initiatives, and thoughtfully designed tools, we create spaces where cultural gaps can be bridged and conversations feel open, honest, and safe again. At the same time, we provide young people with structure, purpose, and a clear role in contributing to something larger than themselves.

We equip young leaders to create resources, host dialogue, support local communities, and actively reimagine what connection looks like in immigrant spaces today.

Families are at the heart of this work, but so are youth voices, cultural identity, and the collective growth of our communities.

We believe connection is built in everyday moments, and we focus on developing both the people and the platforms that make those moments possible.

Our Vision

We envision a future where immigrant communities feel deeply connected across generations, cultures, and distance.

A future where connection is not left to chance or slowly lost over time, but intentionally built and sustained through shared structures, spaces, and traditions.

A future where young people are not just navigating cultural tension, but stepping into clear roles as builders of community, creating opportunities for connection that they themselves may not have had.

A future where families feel closer, stories are preserved, and people have meaningful ways to stay connected to one another and to where they come from.

A future where connection is not something people search for, but something they actively create together.

The Pillars

Youth Leadership

We give young people structure, purpose, and a clear role in rebuilding connection within their communities. Through hands-on projects, leadership opportunities, and collaborative teams, we empower the next generation to create the spaces and relationships they wish they had.

Connection

We design tools, experiences, and spaces that help people communicate more openly, understand each other more deeply, and build stronger relationships across generations. At A Tiger Cub, connection is not assumed. It is intentionally created.

Storytelling & Culture

We use storytelling to preserve identity, share lived experiences, and pass culture across generations. Through writing, media, and creative expression, we help individuals see themselves in their stories and stay connected to where they come from.

Interactive Experiences

We create engaging, accessible ways for people to connect through games, prompts, activities, and shared experiences. Whether digital or in-person, these moments are designed to feel natural, enjoyable, and meaningful.

From The Founder

I was born Eric Luntian Chang on June 4, 2003. I am 22 years old, currently in Atlanta, often sitting in a small apartment surrounded by half-finished ideas, open tabs, and thoughts that drift far beyond my computer science degree. I did not set out to be a writer, storyteller, or founder. Most days, I am still figuring things out as I go.

I am the son of two first-generation immigrants who came to the United States with little more than hope, persistence, and a belief that things could be better for their children. They built a life through sacrifice. I grew up shaped by both their brilliance and their blind spots. By their warmth and their silences. By the lessons they passed down and the ones they never had the language to explain.

As I grew older, I began noticing patterns. Not just in my own family, but across Asian and immigrant communities. Friends from different cultures shared similar tensions around communication, expectation, and emotional distance. Parents cared deeply. Children cared deeply. Yet something often got lost in between.

Culture. Generational gaps. Unspoken assumptions.

Bojji was born from that realization.

Bojji is not just a character. He is a window into the inner world of many children navigating identity and love at the same time. Curious. Observant. Unsure. Always learning. Through Bojji, I began exploring the quiet moments families do not always talk about — the awkward ones, the tender ones, the ones that shape us long after they pass.

But A Tiger Cub did not stop at reflection.

What began as storytelling grew into something larger: youth-led teams building tools, hosting conversations, supporting local communities, and creating spaces where connection could feel possible again. Not just within families, but across generations and within the broader immigrant experience.

A Tiger Cub is still growing — just like Bojji, and just like me. And maybe that is the point. Connection is not a finished product. It is something we build together.
